November and December are all about consumption.
It starts with Black Friday and ends with the huge winter sales.
During the Black Friday weekend Instagram was all about discounts and special offers. Everyone was posting their favorite shops and tips.
But the question is: is it really all worth it? Do we really need that much?
I bought nothing these days.
I’m currently thinking a lot about consumption. I’m a fashion blogger. I love new trends. And of course I love shopping.
Ask yourself before buying something:
DO YOU REALLY NEED IT?
I caught myself buying too much fast fashion. Cheap and ephemeral.
One day you love it, the next day you may regret buying it.
I started using 2nd hand online shops to sell my own stuff, even though I haven’t bought others yet.
Maybe I should be more frugal. Restrain myself.
I’m checking online shops everyday to be up to date. This is important to me so I can offer you the newest styles and trends.
But wouldn’t it be more sensible to show you that I’m able to create wonderful looks with “less”?
Maybe it’s better to buy a few pieces but special ones.
What do you guys think about this topic?
Wouldn’t this be a great new year’s resolution?
Shouldn’t we all start to escape consumption (at least a bit)?
Lots of love,
Btw: You are not going to find a “shop my look” widget in this post 😉
