New Chapter: 3rd Blog Anniversary

And as I watched the ocean breath

I decided it’s about time to set adrift.

I’m opening a new chapter of the book I was writing for three years from today. I needed a change. And Ultra Violence needs it too. When I started the blog in 2015 I was much different from now. The only thing I wanted back then was to share my style. And to be like the huge Instagram stars e.g. Xenia Overdose.

I developed a lot during blogging but also through blogging. My point of view changed, my style changed and also the templates changed.

But I’ve out grown the early ideas of blogging. And I’m also sick and tired of seeing the same stuff on a daily basis.

The blog is going to look different from today on. Although I have to tell you that I don’t know exactly how the changes are going to operate.

A few of you may know that I had various attempts in changing the blog, my issues and my attitude towards Instagram. That at some point I started to struggle. That I questioned myself a lot about my motivations.

I want to be more than the girl which posts a look per week and says “that’s it” at the end of every week. I want to dive deeper into the ocean of possibilities.

Maybe a few of you know this feeling. The will to change.

I want Ultra Violence to be more than a fashion blog. I want you to feel free to connect with the addressed issues.

Fashion is a huge and big topic. But it can also be kind of superficial. I appreciate the art behind fashion: The high amount of thoughts behind well-made clothing or the creative process of creating an outfit. The great ideas and power behind it.

But the people in the industry and the clockwork of consumption sometimes swallow all those great aspects of fashion. Just like shooting stars you see good work rise and shine for only a second until they get absorbed by darkness again. I’m here to share the wonderful stories of great content creators with you. To support the right brands for the right reasons.

And I’m also going to find my own voice or rather make it heard. To revive the Life section of the blog and share everyday life struggles again.

As a young philosophy student I know there are so many important topics to think about. So many questions for which we need to find solutions.

The blog is like some kind of public diary for me. And although it’s strongly recommended to stick to one topic I don’t want to restrict myself anymore.

As this text is slowly coming to an end I want to thank you. You saw a lot of changes during the last three years and I’m happy about every single one of you who accompanied me during all this time. I think I have a great community full of wonderful and creative people.  Keep up the good work!

What do you think about my planned changes?

Lots of love,
