Life is all about decisions and possessions.
And from time to time we have to look back at our lives.
Who have I become and how did I get here?
I think most people start to regret a few things then.
And I also know this feeling for sure.
The ex-boyfriend which was a total douche bag but we thought he was superman. The pair of jeans I bought a few weeks ago but which I’m never going to wear (honestly).
It doesn’t matter what stumbling brought you here as long as you are here.
Maybe it is hard to say for some of you. And it was for me as well in the beginning. But how about Édith Piafs
Je ne regrette rien?
I came to the conclusion that I totally agree with her in that point.
Why should I regret that I took my path?
I wouldn’t have been me if I haven’t wandered along this road.
All my slips, my failures, my good and bad times led to the woman I am today.
And I’m grateful for my mistakes as much as I am for my glorious flights.
I wouldn’t have known my dearest friends, wouldn’t have learned so much about myself, wouldn’t have met my boyfriend.
You can’t tell if you went right or wrong. And nobody can.
To say it with the words of Kurt Cobain: just come as you are. 😉
The one and only important thing is to come to terms with yourself.
You are going to live with yourself. So treat yourself. Celebrate yourself.
The relationship between you and you is the longest and maybe also the hardest.
But you know what?
It’s worth all the time, money, blood, sweat and tears you may have to sacrifice.
Do you think regretting is worth it? Do you regret something?
Or do you go with me, the stoics and also Édith Piaf?
Wishing you all a wonderful week.
Lots of love,
