My birthday week just ended. Bye bye to my 23rd year of age and hello there 24th! ☺
Want to know how my week was? Welcome to my recap!
WHAT I…WORE. ATE. DID.
I thought a lot about my birthday outfit before shooting it. There was always the idea to do a balloon shoot and I was afraid of messing it up with the wrong outfit. I was planing something huge and…ended up with a pair of jeans and a blouse – wow! 🙁
But sometimes life doens’t go as you planned it to be. I bought a dress online which turned out to be a huge mistake. I looked into the mirror and had a feeling like wearing the halloween version of the blush colored ballerina dress I imagined. Long story short: I had to change last second and went for a cute but casual all-blue look with lots of pearls.
We went out a few times that week and everytime it was a blast!
On Sunday my boy and me had a wonderful pub date with great English food. If you ever planning a trip to Munich I highly recommend you the kitchen of the “Kilkenny’s Irish Pub” in the heart of the city (given that you like pubs as much as I do). The food is plenty and tastes incredible. On Wednesday (my birthday) we sat together over coffee and cakes in my favourite coffeehouse called “Maelu” with my friend Rafia. I love all those little tartlets they sell there which are true masterpieces in taste and apperance! I’m sure you are going to love it as much as I do. After a stroll through Munich Kai and I decided to go to a Greek restaurant near our place to have dinner. Most of the time when we go to restaurants we go to Indian food places so it was something special for both of us! 😀
I love Munich especially because of it’s huge cultural supply. On every weekday you can go out and explore the museums, galleries and theaters over and over again. On one day we went to the “Hypovereinsbank Kunsthalle” which is located in a (kind of) shopping centre called “Fünf Höfe”. The exhibition was called “Spain’s Golden Age” and was all about the artists during the zenith of those years – you could also see works from Diego Velázquez. If you are interested and planning a trip to MUC soon: they are going to have a wonderful exhibition about the photoworks of fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh in April which I want to see badly.
On my birthday we went to the “Villa Stuck” which is a wonderful art nouveau mansion which was created by artist Franz von Stuck. You can see the histroical rooms as they used to be for his living and others which are always filled with alternating exhibitions. The current exhibition is “Manifesto” by Julian Rosefeldt which I’ve also seen in Berlin a year ago. It’s a wonderful video artwork featuring Cate Blanchett in twelve totally differnt roles which is super impressive.
Sadly, the rest of the week I had to stay in bed as I became pretty sick.
How was your week going?
Lots of love,
