Orange is the new black.
At least it is for me (as well as for some female prisoners, jk 😉 ).
Maybe you’ve already realized that I started to add some orange to my wardrobe. It’s funny that it took me years to realize that every orange and brown colored garment goes well with my hair color.
But better late than never, right?
Another wonderful thing which I really enjoy for the upcoming season are flounced skirts.
And what’s better than the color orange and flounces?
Guess what! All in one. I discovered the perfect match while shopping at Zara.
How do you like it?
I decided to wear my latest pick although the weather is so strange in Munich right now. Spring isn’t in sight yet, temperatures are below the freezing point and it doesn’t even look like it’s going to change soon.
So that pop of color was just what I needed to at least pretend it’s springtime.
I paired the skirt with a pure white turtleneck sweater by H&M. To not freeze to death I wore my beloved plaid coat on top.
The colors of the pattern seize on the others of the look.
Same takes effect for the J. W. Anderson Pierce bag.
As I love to create edgy combinations I went for my new Nike Internationalist in brown-gold which you are going to see more often (for sure!).
By the way: What do you do to escape winter dreariness?
My tips against this never-ending winter story are:
Add some spring to your daily life by placing flowers around your apartment.
Wear colorful looks and start mixing your winter wardrobe with spring pieces.
Book a short trip to a warmer destination (I’m going to travel to Athens soon!).
Think about warm places near you. Maybe you are going to visit a botanical garden or plan a trip to the next thermal bath?
Whatever you do: Have spring on your heart and mind. I’m sure it helps you through the cold 😉
Wishing you all a wonderful and sunny week,
