An outfit without accessories?

Accessories play an important part in every outfit.

They may upgrade or downgrade your look, bring out the main points or even be the highlight.

We carry everything in our handbags and feel lost without them.

Huge earrings make you look more vibrant and a statement necklace adds the final touch to a blouse.

So I questioned myself:

Can you make an outfit work without any accessories?

Scrolling through my Instagram feed made me assailed by doubts. Every fashion blogger I’ve stalked while studying this topic played with accessories.

A Chloé handbag there, some earring by Celiné here and finally sunglasses by Sunday Somewhere.

It seems like no one really tries to go bare.

Which is the reason why I decided to be the one.

The only fashion blogger in the world which dares to go naked. At least in terms of accessories. 😀

Really important for me while conceptualizing this outfit were the pockets. What I’m always carrying with me are my purse, mobile phone and  headphones. I really can’t exist without these three.

With a bag in my hand I’m bringing much more stuff with me. It might be an emergency charger, lipstick (because you never know), perfume, something to read or a bottle of water (depends on the bag of course).

But what you do while going without a bag is that you have to focus on the really important things. What do I have to carry around?

The second thing which I focused on were the pieces their selves. If you dare to go bare you also have to keep in mind that you have to wear statement pieces. You can’t upgrade or downgrade, so you have to find another way.

I decided to set the attention on two pieces: The H&M x Erdem Hoodie and the yellow heels by Mango. Both pieces go together very well and work as wonderful eye catchers.

Have you ever tried to go without accessories?

Btw: if you are attentive you might have realised that I wore a ring on those pictures. I’m always wearing it and never take it off as my boyfriend gave it to me 😉

Coat: H&M

    Love, tascha
